The creation of a completely new, shape-breaking award was initiated by the official sponsor of the European Championship, Gazprom plc. To realize the idea, the well-known Russian line tourist Bukras Lampast was asked. The private installation began on June 11, the opening day of the European Championships, and was completed in one day according to the artist’s plans, so that fans could see it on June 12 in the fan zone in St. Petersburg.
The work consists of 432 footballs, which are called in writing by the name Eb, Gazprom, the company’s international children’s program “Football for Friendship” and its universal values - friendship, equality, justice, health, peace, commitment, victory, tradition and honor. – Appears. Football balls drawn with line markers create an open art space in which anyone can create unique and unique content for their fans.
Later, this unusual artwork ceases to exist in its physical form and is reborn as a kind of digital artwork, in the form of NFT tokens.
At the same time, the work is not yet complete, as the author’s ball for the most beautiful goal in the European Championship will also become part of the work. The digital prize and the ball to be won will be awarded to the player who scored the most beautiful goal in the European Championship, who will be able to receive the first digital prize in football history. The award ceremony will also be attended by young people from the countries participating in the European Championship in the “Football for Friendship” programme.
The unique artwork, combining physical perception and digital reality, is the creative embodiment of the spirit of the European Championships: a global event that brings people together from all over the world through sport. The hologram of the award will be presented as part of an exhibition at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
