China outperformed the United States in another indicator

Newsweek mentioned The latest from Australia's Lowy Institute Global Diplomacy Index 2024 About the results, which ranks 66 countries and territories based on their diplomatic presence around the world. The fate of the top ten places in this year’s edition was as follows:

  1. China
  2. United State
  3. turkey
  4. Japan
  5. France
  6. Russia
  7. United kingdom
  8. Germany
  9. Italy
  10. Brazil

China overtook the United States for the first time in 2019, although in 2016 it ranked third behind France in the global diplomacy index.

The survey results show that Beijing is advancing in diplomatic relations in Africa, East Asia, the Pacific Islands, and Central Asia, while Washington remains ahead in Europe, North and Central America, and South Asia. In the Middle East and South America, the two competing superpowers are linked.

The Turks are another emerging country: The country of Asia Minor ranked fifth in 2016, while this year it ranked third. During the same period, France dropped out of the top three, and Spain dropped out of the top tenWhile Italy managed to make its way to the last group.
