People are healthier if they live near the sea or spend at least some time by the sea, reports MTI based on an international survey conducted by environmental psychologists in Vienna. The beneficial health effects of the sea have been shown to be independent of country and income.
Researchers interviewed more than 15,000 people from Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Great Britain, the Czech Republic and Australia.
