Beautiful buildings and wonderful things enrich Budapest, the capital of Hungary, and now you, students of the capital, can show off this marvel. how? Draw for yourself what is the most beautiful, best, most interesting or most beautiful place in Budapest or in the neighborhood where you live or study, and you can also draw how you imagine the now 150-year-old Hungarian capital in 150 years.

Who can apply? Budapest schoolchildren between the ages of 6 and 16, from any region
You can start in two age groups:
- Ages 6-11 years old
- Their ages range from 12 to 16 years old
What are we waiting for?
You can apply with individual or group creations, so if you like, the whole class can create together. Drawings, paintings, as well as sketches can be submitted to the drawing competition in at least A4 format. You can—but don’t have to—write a short statement or personal story for the sketch about why it’s your favorite place or why you imagine the city of the future that way.

Where should you send?
You can submit your works in person at the Budapest Cultural Center on weekdays between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, or you can mail them to the following address: Budapest Cultural Centre, 1119 Budapest, Etele út 55.

The awards ceremony will take place in September 2023, where we will announce the best categories, as well as great giveaways and lots of exciting program opportunities.
The drawing competition was announced jointly by the Budapest Cultural Center and the Budapest Metropolitan Municipality within the framework of the Budapest 150 programme.
The received works are evaluated by a professional jury in each category.
We will send you an e-mail notification about the announcement of the results and the date of the award ceremony.

Participation in many programs organized by the Budapest Cultural Center is free of charge. By appearing, the event participants acknowledge that a photo/video recording will be taken at the event, which can be posted on the Foundation’s website or Facebook page. The injured person shown in the recording may object to the publication of his or her photograph in writing.
