During the press conference of the Hungarian Tennis Federation (MTSZ) on Friday, the expert who also serves as coach for Marton Voxovic confirmed that he wants the Hungarians to form a cohesive team, as they will represent a country in Sydney.
“I would be happy if everyone could bring one hundred percent of their knowledge, and that requires a proper tactical and mental state. Presumably a large number of fans will cheer for the Australians, but I would like to see high quality fighter matches” – said the captain, whose task is currently confined to facing Australia.
MTSZ professional director Attila Savault said Zoltán Nagy’s future will not be determined by Sydney’s result. The professional manager believes that the Hungarian team will get the most difficult draw possible, if they manage to win, it will be, if not the greatest achievement of the Davis Cup national team.
“But the most important thing is that the cohesion of the team that collapsed in Turin is now better in terms of assembly.” Said Savault, who also spoke about the goals set in the alliance’s long-term strategy, one of which is to have four players in the top 100 in the world rankings.
