According to reports, there’s a brand new game mode coming to Dead Island 2. Neighborhood Watch will essentially be a three-player handheld mode, where proper preparation is of the utmost importance.
After a decade of confusion in development, Dead Island 2 was finally released in April of this year, but since then there’s been a bit of silence about the well-received zombie abattoir. Two-story expansions are officially coming: Haus is coming in the fourth quarter of this year, while SOLA Festival is coming in the second quarter of 2024.
the Indoor games A brand new game mode is said to be on the way which will run under the name Neighborhood Watch. At the moment, it is not known whether the new game will be part of the Haus DLC or if we will get it with a free update.
It’s basically a horde mode, where three players have to prepare to greet the oncoming zombie horde and protect the house that serves as a shelter. The basic setup is simple: we will have five play days to make the necessary preparations, set traps, scavenge for weapons, stock up on supplies, and build barricades. Different goals can be added every day, ranging in difficulty from 1 to 5 stars.
So the difficulty keeps increasing as the days go by, if we are aggressive, we can attack 5-star missions immediately. According to the newspaper’s source, Neighborhood Watch is a fairly hectic game mode, so it’s worth starting with the right teammate. We are waiting for official confirmation!
