The winger, who can spread out on both the left and right sides, was born in Switzerland, in Nyon, grew up at FC Basel, also played in Lucerne and Lausanne, spent his time in Lechia Gdansk and Portuguese Cova and Piedadi spent the previous season in Portuguese second division Lixo, scoring 11 Canadian point in 35 games.
From the age of 14, Joao Oliveira played regularly for the Swiss national teams, where between the 1920s he scored two Canadian points in matches against the Germans and Italians.
He appeared several times among the under-21s, but is no longer counted among the adults.
