Decathlon buys back your tired products and then sells them again

Sports department store chain Decathlon, which is also very popular in Hungary, offers a buyback service in its stores operating in the UK. This initiative comes within the framework of the company’s sustainability efforts.

The company is launching a used buyback service across all its UK stores. The company offers customers who return a previously purchased product a discount window in return. Decathlon promises that they will buy back more and more products purchased from them, those that the user no longer needs. The company refurbishes them and resells them as used products. They hope that they can make serious progress in achieving their sustainability aspirations.

In the first round, the company expects customers to return their tired commercial bikes, and next year, according to their promise, all product categories will be available, including fitness equipment and water sports equipment.

The company said that its service, which it will launch in the United Kingdom, is expected to renew 15,000 bicycles annually by 2025.
