The ambitious one-man remake isn't complete yet, but anyone can play it for a small fee, and it doesn't even require a serious PC.
Capcom's popular Dino Crisis series turns 25 years old this year (or to make it worse: a quarter of a century old), which the Japanese publisher has left pretty much alone over the decades. There will be demand for it, at least based on recent polling. It's possible that Capcom will re-release the original games in a slightly updated version, but there's no indication of that at the moment.
After getting tired of waiting, a designer named Stefano Cagnani took it upon himself to create an Unreal Engine 5 version of the original 1999 game himself. Like the Capcom remakes, this revamp is also TPS, so you can shoot from an over-the-shoulder camera perspective at the dinosaurs that are damaging us, which, thanks to the new engine, sets the atmosphere adequately despite the old atmosphere. The remake's release even deserved its own trailer, so here it is:
According to the modder, the same game runs flawlessly on a machine with an i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a GTX 1050Ti. The new version is not free, and you can download it after purchasing an amount of no less than 1 euro.
