Consoles are actually computers too. Thanks to this, it may be worth preparing for performance degradation at high temperatures.
04/12/2024 – Just like people, devices can also suffer from high temperatures. Consoles are no exception to this. Although designers try to provide these devices with as much cooling efficiency as possible, unfortunately external conditions can always throw the consoles out of the optimal position. Fortunately, consoles have excellent security solutions, but in critical cases, unfavorable temperatures can feature lag and low FPS. Not to mention the high level of noise from the fans, as the system runs them at maximum power to ensure a fairly appropriate temperature. One can often consider using some external device to help cool the console itself. The good news is that this is not necessary, the bad news is that sometimes it doesn't hurt to take a little care of our console from the hardware and software side.
Check out the fans
No matter how simple it may seem, many people don't look at the console for a year or two after placing it next to the TV. In most cases, overheating and loud operation can be attributed to dust buildup, or in the case of pets, hair, or a combination of these things. As a result, the airflow may be insufficient and a problem will actually occur as the device does not get fresh, cool air. Turn off the console, wait for it to cool down, then check these slots. In many cases, a microfiber cloth is sufficient and the console can actually get more air.
Reposition if necessary
No matter how good it looks when your Xbox Series The fresher the air and, last but not least, the cooler near the console, the more overheating can be avoided. Therefore, it is beneficial to place the machines in a place where there is plenty of space. It is also not worth placing machines close to heat sources, because the air heated by a radiator, convector or heater does not help much in cooling the chips. Overall, it can also be said that both the PS5 and Xbox Series

Is this not enough?
If you've managed to clean up the controllers a bit both physically and software, but the controller is still very loud or there's a noticeable drop in FPS, it's definitely time to get a warranty. There's a good chance there's a more complex issue going on in the background, not just overheating. It's not worth trying DIY solutions, as 90% of people make the situation worse. It is worth visiting the official Sony And Microsoft Service centers, as here the valuable machine is guaranteed to be in the hands of competent people, while in the case of “corner” shops the picture can be quite mixed.
