Doctor Strange’s second (first) villain revealed: He hasn’t been mistakenly hidden yet

Coming next year’s sequel to Doctor Strange, which ended filming earlier this year but is back in the title role, Benedict Cumberbatch recently revealed he’s still working on backups in November and December. As a result, the premiere that was originally scheduled for March was recently postponed to May 6 abroad. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, who is from the realm of horror, and so far little is known about the plot other than what the subtitle suggests (“Into the Multiverse of Madness”). SlashFilm mentioned itMerchandise producer may now have revealed a villain who is none other than one of the tentacles monsters in the Marvel comics, Shoma Gorath.

The octopus-like creature appeared in pamphlets noted by publisher Steve Englehart and Frank Brunner in the early 1970s, and has since appeared in many stories related to Dr. Strange. Shuma Gurath is the god who reigns over hundreds of dimensions, one of the great sages inspired by the short stories of H.P. Lovecraft. The god/beast that appeared in Doctor Strange 2 is supposed to have also ruled the Earth millions of years ago based on the comics, and was later driven out by an ancient sorcerer, Sise-Neg. Over the millennia, he’s found his way back into this dimension many times, and in the latest Marvel comics he’s also got into trouble with Strange.

In addition to being trans-dimensional, Shuma-Gorath possesses many other superpowers: the ability to manipulate reality, change shape, float, teleport and, of course, be immortal.

It is unlikely that he will be the hero of the novel Doctor Strange in the Darkness of the Madness, but it is increasingly certain that the magician will encounter such distant monsters: in the summer, it turns out that another giant villain, Gargantos, may also honor comics.on canvas. Elizabeth Olsen, who plays an important role in the movie as Wanda/Scarlet Witch, spoke several times before Doctor Strange 2 was the MCU’s scariest act yet. If we can’t anticipate measurable coolness for the Evil Dead movies, but Raimi, who is sitting in the director’s chair, we’ll hopefully bring together a 2016 comic book-inspired sequel to the art of love.
