After a three-month summer break, the 2023 competition season has continued the life of the Dorogi AC wrestling division. In addition, they stepped on the carpet in two places: Urushaza and Nayarasd.
The Under-15 Freestyle Team Championships in Pesterzsébet on 28 May was followed by three months without a national wrestling competition. However, on the second day of September, the contenders returned to the home carpet and immediately contested the national championship titles in the under-23 age group, the biggest after the seniors. In the competition in Orochaz, all three disciplines were able to test their autumn level, and in many cases the stakes were not small, as next October the International Federation organizes the World Under-23 Championships in Finland.

On Saturday, the traditional international test of strength for wrestlers, the Mayor’s Cup, was organized by the Vásárúti Birkózóklub for the eighth time in the sports hall in Ynárasd. The following countries were represented at the large-scale tournament: Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Denmark, Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine and Slovakia, with nearly 300 competitors competing in the U9 and U11 categories. For winning in the U13, U15, U17 and U20 age groups.
