The Philadelphia Eagles have officially announced the inactive player list for their 2023 NFL Week 13 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. San Francisco 49ers.
The following Eagles players will not play: Dallas Goedert, Zach Cunningham, Sawa Obita, Rashad Penny, and Tanner McKee.
This news means that Fletcher Cox is active Although he failed to train this week and his playing judgment is questionable. Cox is doing his best not to leave the Eagles weak at defensive tackle while facing SF’s rushing attack. We’ll see if he can get through the game or not. Cox might be counting.
It was questionable that Goedert would play in the Eagles’ final injury report. Missing him today isn’t ideal but he appears to be on track to return in Week 14. Goedert’s absence leaves the Eagles with Jack Stoll, Grant Calcaterra (who will play despite his ruling) and Albert Okwuegbunam at tight end.
Cunningham was disqualified on Friday. His absence leaves the Eagles with Nicolas Morrow, Christian Ellis and undrafted rookie free agent Ben Van Someren at linebacker. Thin set.
Opeta and Penny are typical healthy scratches.
Under the NFL’s third emergency quarterback rule, Mackey is allowed to play if both Jalen Hurts and Marcus Mariota leave the game with injuries.
