The Hungarian women's water polo team confidently beat France in Eindhoven.
The Hungarian women's water polo team was able to play for fifth place, as there were four FTC players in the team. Boglárka Neszmély started in goal, but Dóra Leimeter, Vanda Vályi and Szonja Kuna were also in the team fighting against the French, and Gréta Kurucz-Gurisatti suffered an eye injury during the tournament and was therefore unable to be in the water this time either.
We started the game well, as Vanda Vali and Rebecca Parks were also effective, and Rita Kesteli-Nagy scored three goals, however, our opponent outscored us once in the first quarter (5-1). Before the big break, we were able to increase our advantage and won the match 9-1.
The excellent performance continued, my teammates continued to defend with confidence and after 24 minutes of play, they conceded only one goal on the record, while we succeeded in front of goal twice (11-1). By the final term, all questions had already been resolved, thanks to Neszmély Boglárka's good performance in goal, we won 14-3 in the duel for fifth place in the European Championship in Eindhoven.
The Olympic quota will be obtained in the World Cup tournament that will be held in Doha in February and which begins on February 4th.
