Eighth is the Hungarian mixed relay, which was tested by triathletes

The Hungarian team placed eighth in the mixed relay at the Olympic Triathlon Test Competition in Paris.

As on Saturday, the paratriathlon competition could not be completed on Sunday either, due to the poor water quality of the Seine, and the swimming was not held. Each relay member had to run 1.35 km, then bike 5.8 km, and finally run another 1.8 km. The members of the first team were an exception, as they completed only 900 meters in the first round, so that the third team managed. The field can be started from Sandor Bridge.

The team of Gabor Valdum, Xanette Couture-Bragmaier, Songor Lehmann and Marta Krupko was 45 seconds behind the winner – according to the competition’s website. The British came in second place and the Belgians in third place.

Two weeks ago, the Open Water Swimming World Cup was not held in Paris, because the water quality of the Seine River had significantly deteriorated due to heavy rains. On Sunday, it was the third time the announcement had to be changed for a specific competition.

At the same time, Tony Estanje, President of the Paris Olympic Organizing Committee, confirmed that there is no alternative plan, and there is no possibility of transferring triathlon and open water competitions to the Olympics.

The women’s and men’s trial triathlon competitions were held on Thursday and Friday as planned. On the first day, Zsanett Kuttor-Bragmayer did not finish, withdrawing during the race, and on the next day, Gábor Faldum was 12th, Bence Bicsák was 19th, Csongor Lehmann was 23rd, while Márk Dévay was 40th in 1.5 . 1 km swimming, in a strength test consisting of 40 km of cycling and 10 km of running.
