Canada has stopped accepting flights from India and Pakistan for thirty days – the ban does not apply to cargo flights. Canadian Health Minister Patty Hajdu said that 20 per cent of those entering the country are Indian citizens and that 50 per cent of positive cases of COVID-19 tests conducted by Canadian airport authorities come from them.
Foreigners who will come directly from India or have visited India ten days before their arrival will not be able to enter England from 4am on Friday. The ban is currently limited to England, but it is expected to be enforced by the rest of the UK authorities. The costs for this – 1,750 pounds (735,000 Ft) – must be paid by the participant.
