The game got off to a rough start, but in the end it turned out to be a success, so the creators kept working on it.
Atomic Heart debuted on February 21 to generally good reception, but some bad press, which Somewhat overshadowed by the appearance. Despite this, Mundfish, the game’s developer, hasn’t left the game behind, first they confirmed that a sequel is also planned, and now they’ve announced that the first DLC, Annihilation Instinct, will arrive on August 2nd.
It continues after the events of the main game, released on PC and consoles in February, and is the first of four planned expansion packs. The DLC is included in the game’s $39.99 / £32.99 Atomic Pass, which is also available as part of the Gold and Premium editions of Atomic Heart. To coincide with the DLC announcement, Mundfish has released a free update for Atomic Heart that adds a New Game Plus mode.
