Shiro Games’ description provides a clearer picture of what to expect from the upcoming sci-fi strategy game.
Another RTS game is developed and maintained by Shiro Games. After 20 years, you’ll have another video game with dune universe, but all we know about Dune: Spice Wars so far is that it’s coming out this year.
However, the development team answered several questions about the game on the steam side, where fans were introduced to the project and what their goals are in the game. Dune: Spice Wars is kind of like that Hybrid RTS will be: There won’t be a classic turn-based game like the Civilization series, but it does bring to life the world of earlier dune games at a slower pace where the main focus is on economics, politics, and combat with adversaries. According to Shiro, “These will be the features that will provide the expected core RTS experience that gamers have come to expect.”
They also talked about what will become immediately available in case of early access. We will be able to choose four factions, with a fifth joining in the future. Two of the four were introduced by name, they would be Atreides and Harkonnen. There are also plans to add a single player campaign and a multiplayer mode to keep you entertained. However, more information was provided later, so fans have no choice but to wait for this information.
