As we reported yesterday, this year’s Golden Joystick Awards were held, and it was clear that the big winner at the awards ceremony was Baldur’s Gate 3 Because Larian Studios’ CRPG was specifically chosen as Game of the Year, but in addition to that, it also received “some” awards. Players agreed with the majority of award winners (at least so far there hasn’t been a lot of public outcry), however, there is one category that has left users scratching their heads: the currently underappreciated category. After the event, of course, the X page of Golden Joysticks also congratulated the NetherRealm Studios team, but the bulk of the comments under the post do not at all reflect people’s approval of the decision. In the comment with the most likes, for example, the author points out that A Mortal Kombat 1It currently lacks basic online functionality such as cross-play, filters, lobbies, online training mode or community space, so this decision is completely incomprehensible. For this very reason, the majority of fans believe that Street Fighter 6It should have taken home this award, as in addition to its excellent gameplay, it also includes most of the things just mentioned. We are eagerly waiting to find out which program will be the winner in this category during The Game Awards ceremony, which will be held at the beginning of December.
