On crime and corruption, the two candidates tied at 40 percent each, a significant shift for Harris from the July poll, when she was still five points behind Trump.
The economy remains a prominent issue among voters. Twenty-six percent of those surveyed considered it the biggest problem, while 22 percent cited political extremism and threats to democracy, and 13 percent identified immigration as the main challenge.
The poll highlights that neither candidate enjoys widespread popularity. Fifty-nine percent of voters have an unfavorable view of Trump, compared to 52 percent for Harris.
The research collected online responses from 1,028 adults, including 902 registered voters, across the country.
