Hopes for the future, for the U-10-11 and U-13 age groups, also appeared in the national championship held this weekend. Orosház wrestling clubs were represented in both competitions.

A national junior freestyle championship was organized in Püspökladány, where 241 young wrestlers gathered. Of the two federations in Orochaza, the competitors in the Orochaza Wrestling Association (OBE) have been slightly more successful: U10Age category: -29 kg Daniel Kovacs 5th place, Szabolcs Mack 7th place. 35 kg Levente Faji, 10th place. Under 11Age category: -46 kg Zinti Kovacs 3rd place, 58 kg Petr Higa 2nd place.

The head coach of Orosházi Spartacus Wrestling Club (OSBK) commented on the club's youngest competition: – Our green-eared team replaced ground wrestling with “real” wrestling one year ago. In the last few months we have tried to gain routine and experience in small competitions and prepare for one of the most prestigious competitions organized for the age group. The preparations have been successful, but the results are yet to be seen. All of our competitors have stood tall, fought and struggled, so we look forward to continuing with confidence.

The National Freestyle Championships were organized in Kaposvár for competitors of the U13 category – formerly the first age group for children.

OBE was represented by six wrestlers in the competition, which included more than 200 competitors. Three of them – Abel Zoellner, Marcel Nagy and Janos Hevesi – did not make it into the top five. On the other hand, three of them reached the points-scoring positions, and two of them went all the way to the medal at the expense of difficult battles: Andras Vas-Silaje 63 kg, fifth place, Aaron Almasi +85 kg, third. Place Boris Ant 50kg II. place.

OSBK delegated three competitors to the national competition in Kaposvár, and one of them managed to go home with a medal around his neck. 35kg, Zsolt Czeczon won a consolation prize, 63kg Zsombor Fahur did not make the top eight, +85kg, Krisztián Gémes II. He got a place.

Another good news from around the OSBK house is that question marks still stood behind the names of this or that competitor after the selectors disappeared. It is now confirmed that after Mark Pusztai, Milan Somogyvari will also participate in the continental tournament in June. It also became official that Bale Mirella is also in the national team preparing for the European Junior Championships.
