A Japanese man known as Toko, who spent two million yen to make himself a lifelike dog costume, has testified about his fate.
The Japanese man, who has caused a sensation due to his strange hobby, and who spends his free time wandering the streets of Tokyo wearing a lifelike dog costume made for 6 million forints, told the British newspaper The Sun that although he has a costume that looks lifelike to people, real dogs smell. That something is wrong with him.
They seemed surprised and unfortunately were not treated equally
– The man told about what he feels when he meets real dogs.
However, Toko has not lost hope and is now looking for companions who, like him, were born human, but prefer to live in the skin of some animal.
By the way, he ordered Border Collie-style dog clothes from a private costume maker for movies and TV, and last year he started sharing his journey to becoming a dog on YouTube. He has since gained 57,000 followers online.
By his own admission, he chose the Collie costume because he also enjoyed training the breed as a human. The choice of breed is also practical because its long fur helps hide its “human form” well and allows it to pretend to be a “lifelike dog.”
Although the four-legged true friends are not adopting him as a dog at the moment, Toko has no reason to complain, because according to him, his family has come to terms with his own personality.
