We couldn't enjoy the comedy series that started with high hopes for a long time.
At the end of August, the series Kaos, starring Jeff Goldblum, was released on Netflix. However, the streaming provider was not satisfied with the final result and viewership data, so it was decided very quickly that the second season would not be completed.
Kaos is It took third place on Netflix's English-language TV shows chart with 5.9 million views, but it wasn't enough.
Series creator Charlie Covell was disappointed to learn that Kaos had been axed. Production company Sister shared a statement on their Instagram page:
Of course, I'm very sorry that we won't be producing more Kaos episodes, but I don't want this news to overshadow what we've been doing. I am extremely lucky to have worked with an exceptionally talented cast and crew. I'm very proud of our series.“
Fans don't want to let him go
Perhaps all is not lost, as fans have launched a petition to save the series despite mixed reviews, and it has already begun collecting thousands of signatures. This might be enough for the streaming provider to change their mind, or for Kaos to continue on another platform. This wouldn't be the first time that, thanks to TV viewers, an already canceled series gets a second chance.
The new Netflix series brings Greek mythology into the present and parodies the original story at many points — but it's only half successful. Goldblum, on the other hand, is a great superhero.
