In the old town you can see monasteries and other ornate buildings that now serve cultural purposes, but don't forget the modern areas like Kirchberg, where you can find other great attractions, including the Museum of Modern Art. Among the places that can be visited all year round, the highlight is the Schoberförde amusement park.
