Business and sports professionals join Field Hockey Canada's Board of Directors
Field Hockey Canada is pleased to announce that three new Board Members have joined the Field Hockey Canada Board of Directors. Following an open national process, Hockey Canada has appointed three strong independent candidates, with Kerry Moynihan, Ronald Prince and Terry Lockhart joining the Board as FHC Managers.

Terry Lockhart is a CPA with experience in finance, human resources and governance in the not-for-profit sector and experience working for Canadian national sports governing bodies. Terry is dedicated to promoting the role of sport in strengthening society and instilling confidence, respect and moral values in young athletes. Lockhart said he looks forward to supporting the field hockey community, a sport he admires from afar and is excited to work with directly.
“Field Hockey has always been a sport I have enjoyed watching, and the opportunity to contribute to the national governing body for the sport in Canada is very exciting. I look forward to helping strengthen the financial health and sustainability of Field Hockey Canada, as well as supporting the risk management framework,” said Lockhart. In the organization.
Ronald Prince is a dedicated ambassador for field hockey and has been closely involved in the sport as a player, coach, referee and official. Growing up in the hockey heartland of the Netherlands, Ronald's passion for the sport was ignited amid his family's active involvement in the local hockey club. After moving to Canada, he became deeply involved in the community, co-founding SEAtoSKY FHC in 2016 with a team of passionate volunteers. With a sharp entrepreneurial mind, Ronald brings his combination of hockey knowledge and business acumen to the Hockey Canada Board of Directors.
Kerry Moynihan, a Sports Management Commerce graduate from Laurentian University, has had a successful 40-year career in senior management positions with national sports federations such as cycling, shooting, gymnastics, rowing, alpine skiing, WorldSkills and varsity sports. He also spent 15 years in senior administration at Olds College. Kerry served as general manager of the Canada Games in 1995 and 1997, and is an expert in marketing and sponsorship. Kerry He will chair the sponsorship committee He has already begun supporting the hosting of the Pan American Indoor Cup in his home province of Alberta. He said he looks forward to contributing to the success and growth of Canadian hockey.
“After 40 years in sports administration in Canada, and now retired, I look forward to making a strong contribution to the growth and prosperity of hockey in Canada,” Moynihan said.
According to Susan Ahrens, CEO of Field Hockey Canada, in addition to these sports and business professionals, Field Hockey Canada continues to build a group of talented and dedicated leaders at the board, staff and committee levels.
