Police at the scene found that the car’s air conditioner did not turn on – the couple had been defending themselves by accidentally allowing dogs to turn it off – and the temperature in the car was around 32 degrees, causing the animals to die.

The dog’s owner, a crying 25-year-old woman, was taken in handcuffs and on trial for regularly torturing animals.
