Tessia White Sat in a restaurant in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, with a friend who arrived by car. They also have the women’s four dogs: a four-year-old Golden Retriever, a two-year-old Boxer, and two three-month-old Goldendoll puppies. The woman said she turned on the air conditioner when she left the dogs outside in the car. He said in his testimony that once he got out to the car to check on the dogs, they were still fine. However, when they finished lunch an hour later and returned to the car with their friend, the four dogs were unconscious. According to an emergency call from a friend, the dogs were found motionless, each with a frothy mouth, and the animals could no longer be helped. Police at the scene found that the car’s air conditioner did not turn on – the couple had been defending themselves by accidentally allowing dogs to turn it off – and the temperature in the car was around 32 degrees, causing the animals to die.
The dog’s owner, a crying 25-year-old woman, was taken in handcuffs and on trial for regularly torturing animals.
