Now that the new version 38.8 has been released from the Google Play Store, we are finally able to uninstall apps remotely from devices linked to the same account. The feature is said to work across all platforms, be it desktop, smartphone, smartwatch, TV or car.
Until now, you could only install apps on devices that belonged to the same Google account, but there was no way to uninstall apps remotely. A recent update makes this possible, and the Play Store interface collects all installed apps into a more manageable list.
Installed apps can now be grouped by size, device and other aspects. The new function will mostly help us when we need to manage Android TV, Android Auto or Wear OS applications.
These systems are a bit limited in terms of interface compared to, for example, a smartphone. It will be much easier to install or remove apps from smart TVs or smart watches using a desktop or mobile browser.
Of course, there is no obstacle to managing another phone or tablet using the phone. The latest Google Play Store update hasn't reached everyone yet, so it's worth waiting patiently until we get the latest version.
