The F1 USA Grand Prix offers an evening program and a speed weekend, to which MotoGP is also adding a scoop: here’s the full schedule for the weekend.
The 2023 Formula 1 season will continue in Austin with the US Grand Prix, which will bring with it late evening events according to Hungarian time – plus, all of this will be enhanced by a drag racing event. The first free practice will be held on Friday evening, then time trials will begin at 11:00 Hungarian time, which will determine the starting order for the Grand Prix on Sunday, and will end at midnight.
Then on Saturday, the situation will be “better”, as the speed penalty shootout, that is, the time trial that determines the starting order of the speed race, will take place at 8:30 p.m., and the speed race itself will actually take place on Sunday, when the red lights can go out at midnight. Exactly according to Hungarian time. During the day the track is empty from an F1 point of view, then at 9pm the Grand Prix itself follows.
According to Hungarian time, MotoGP competes at dawn and early morning during the weekend, with the location being Phillip Island, Australia – that is, if you want to watch both F1 and the MotoGP World Championship, it is advisable to skip sleeping in or switch to the nightlife on holiday The weekend, because with the Formula 1 events over, the MotoGP sessions actually begin.
Important change: Due to rain and gusty winds expected on Sunday, the Speedway has been moved to SaturdayWhile the speed race will be held on the last day of the week, weather permitting. It was later announced that the Sunday races would be moved forward by an hour.
