Furniture was the fastest but Vinches won the Rally Mexico City

Ferenc Vinzi and Nandor Bercy won the ORB1 rating for Rally México, while Robert Petour and Robert Tagai took pole position with their Citroën WRC. In the top division, Frigyes Turán and Únes Farnadi are second, and Kristóf Klausz and Tamás Papp can take the third place on the podium.

Ferenc Vincze and Nándor Percze started the second day of the Mecsek Rally with an 8-second advantage over the Turáns, and the Volkswagen pair were still aware of this in the morning. After that, however, the Funches competed evenly and gradually increased the gap. In the Power Stage, the difference increased to 13.5 seconds, the excitement was heightened by the weather, and the rain was hanging down. Fortunately, there was no drama, Vinczés’ team overtook Turánes in the final stage, so they easily won the competition’s ORB evaluation and were again on top of the podium after Salgó.

“I think we managed to achieve what we wanted. We are very happy with that. We didn’t stress it out too much, the car behaved well.”Ferenc Vences said at the finish line.

Robert Petour and Robert Tagai have driven experienced cars, or just tried, because the driver said on Friday night that these tracks are very fast, he prefers the more technical and tight sections. Perhaps he was right, because they won the stages at an average of over 120 km / h. They just rolled in 8th gear, and because of this they fell again in the absolute, but then they ignited the rocket and won the absolute by 2.9 seconds. The driver’s license has now been handed over, but with the Citroen WRC many people were very happy again.

Frigyes Turén was second again to Salgó, they were satisfied at the finish and in addition to the second place they also drove for the second time on the Power Stage.

Klaus Christoph and Tamas Papp were only a tenth behind Touran on the final stage, so they took third place not only in the power stage, but also in the sprint.

Peter Ranga and Janick Chacko reached the finish line with their emergency lights flashing. The fault was a broken axle half, and with that they were happy with fourth place, a good result on asphalt with old technology, even on the home track.

Fifth place was Peter Osvath and Szabolcs Adorjan, who suffered minor technical problems, but drove in a well-balanced manner. András Hadik struggled with the turbo, then accelerated towards the finish and collected the points with fourth place in the Power Stage. Gábor Német and Gergely Német took the last point of the Power Stage after a steering error.

Father and son won the Peugeot Cup. The joy of the Péter Németh 8V and Péter Németh 16V could only be overshadowed by the fact that both the RC4 class and dual rating were small. Attila Fogarassi and Peter Toloczko won the Ford Fiesta.

And László Berta and László Császár were happy at the end because they won the Power Stage with an advantage of almost 5 seconds, and finished second in the Peugeot Cup.
