A year ago it was announced that a cooperative survival game would be made in the world of The Lord of the Rings. the The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria Set in the Middle-earth tetralogy, it focuses on dwarves who set out to reclaim their mines in their homeland of Moria.
In the game, you can create your own dwarf, after which you can dive into Khazad-dm, search for raw materials and treasures, craft weapons and armor, and build a fortress. Thanks to procedurally generated locations, each of our adventures will be unique.
The newly released game trailer, which can be watched below, is narrated by none other than Gimli from the Lord of the Rings films, John Rhys-Davies.
You can start the game alone, but you can also start exploring mines with friends in cooperative mode. Meanwhile, we can even find magical objects, for example swords that start to glow when sensing orcs, or amulets that give strength.
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is in the works for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, and we can expect it to launch this fall.
