Games from the store, which rejects copy protection on principle, will soon be streamed via Amazon's service, of course only where Amazon Luna is available.
the GOG announced in a post Partnering with Amazon Luna, they even prepared a comprehensive description for future users of what the partnership between the DRM-free game store and Amazon's game streaming service will mean.
Relying on its own AWS servers, Luna is available for phones, Amazon's Fire TV, and some smart TVs, so it can cover a much wider range than a desktop or laptop computer, and at the same time, the games you buy here stay here. GOG, on the other hand, has a “you buy it, it's yours” philosophy, although it recently asked its customers about a potential subscription solution. It's possible that the two things are related, but at first glance it seems very good.
Because by linking the two services, the titles that we already have on GOG become available on Amazon Luna at no additional cost, and of course they are also included in the streaming service offer. Whether we choose this solution because our personal computers can no longer keep up with the pace, or whether we are driven by a solution that is more mobile or comfortable on the couch, our possibilities will increase dramatically.
The only aesthetic drawback is that Amazon Luna is not affiliated with Netflix, and its service area is very narrow. It is currently available in the USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany and Italy, but it is not unlikely that the service will appear in other countries through the partnership.
