Google has a feature called search He works, which will be integrated into the phone app for Pixel mobile phones. With its help, it will be possible to identify unknown callers.
Google may soon introduce a new tool called Lookup within the Phone app on Pixel phones. With the help of this function, users will be able to identify unknown callers by starting a phone number search through different applications. There are third-party apps like Truecaller that work similarly, but Pixel Lookup follows a completely different principle. Truecaller will be more of a phone book app and Lookup will be a search tool.
On a Pixel mobile phone, if you tap a phone number in the Recent section of the dialer, the search option will appear. After that, a list of applications that can search the Internet will open, Google search will also be in the list, and after selection, search results for the unknown phone number will appear.
The goal here is to find out if we have received a call from a company whose number is listed in some interface or online database. Of course, it won't identify callers from hidden numbers, but it won't tell you about your friend's new number either, so Lookup can't do anything with private phone numbers. Furthermore, this thing only works afterwards, although identifying the unknown while ringing would be a really big gamble.
The new feature is already available to some Google Pixel users in Japan who got it with the March update. If everything is correct, the Lookup app will appear in other regions soon, but for now only for Pixel models. Everyone else is copying/pasting and manually searching for whoever might call it…
