You can now add the Google Wallet tile to Quick Settings on Samsung phones.
This is notable because Samsung devices did not previously have a Wallet shortcut icon available in the shutter. Google announced a few months ago that a new Quick Settings tile would be coming to Google Wallet, but at the time it seemed like Samsung phones weren't getting the feature. However, this is changing now.
According to a 9to5Google report, Samsung devices will now receive the new Google Wallet tile in Quick Settings (we can confirm it's also coming to our S24 Ultra). This feature requires Google Play Services version 24.39 and Google Wallet version 24.38.
This shortcut icon is very useful if you want to quickly access your ID cards, tickets, and other documents stored in the Google Wallet app. It's possible to make contactless payments on an unlocked phone without directly opening Google Wallet, but this box is especially useful if you want visual confirmation of a successful payment. That's why we're glad that this option is now also available on Samsung phones.
