According to a statement that MNB sent to MTI on Thursday, the book is a friendly document that remembers MNB's efforts over the past twelve years, focusing on maintaining the stability of the local economic and financial environment.
In his lecture, the head of the Central Bank confirmed that the period between 2013 and 2019 was the second golden period of the National Hungary, when MNB played a major role in catching the economic economy of Hungary.
According to the announcement, György Matolcsy also stated that in recent years, the central bank has provided a number of reforms aimed at creating financial stability and enhancing sustainable economic growth, but also remembers financial unification for the year 2010-2013.
He also drew attention to the fact that in 2010, Hungary lived the best contract from Trianon, due to the active role of the central bank in addition to structural reforms.
The Central Bank President indicated in the announcement that the MNB programs provided a large part of economic growth, as the numbers show that the central bank’s measures were half of the gross domestic product growth, while playing a decisive role in fighting inflation.
At the same time, after 2020, cooperation between the government and MNB was weakened, which slowed the reforms and reduces the rate of economic growth, but MNB has done its best to do its work according to its legal mandate.
MNB has supported green financial initiatives, which increases financial awareness through the active activities of the Compass Money Foundation and the creation of the Money Museum. In the past decade, MNB has launched a number of successful educational cooperation in local higher education institutions, and has entered into a strategic partnership with the Metropolitan University in Budapest, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and the University of Newman Janus or Debreen University.
The aim of the central bank, and still to update the financial system of Hungary was to accelerate the speed of cash flow and enhance the development of the digital economy, according to the MNB announcement.
