Hamilton: This movie will take Formula 1 to new heights!

Lewis Hamilton is working as a producer and consultant on the upcoming new Formula 1 Hollywood movie. The Mercedes driver talked about Brad Pitt, filming and promised that cinema will raise Formula 1 to new heights.

Nothing lasts forever, including the Netflix effect that caused F1 to explode in America. The leaders of the sport are also well aware of this, which is why they enthusiastically supported Jerry Bruckheimer when they announced that they were going to make a film based on a fictional story about the world of Formula 1. Lewis Hamilton is also actively involved in the project: he helped with the casting, his Mercedes team prepared cars for the film, and is considering Also one of the production producers.

Filming begins this weekend in Silverstone, with Hamilton speaking at the press conference on Thursday about what to expect from the Brad Pitt and Damson Idris-starring film.

“I can’t say more than what I’ve already revealed. I saw Jerry (Bruckheimer) come in recently, but I haven’t checked out their garage yet. However, I was here a week or two ago from Austria to watch Brad train and I’m really excited to see how it all comes together.” .

“Of course it is nerve wracking that we finally start filming this weekend because we have been working on it for a long time and we want everyone to like it and feel like we got what this sport is all about. That is our goal and I hope they can be proud of us.” said the seven-time world champion.

A new level that Ecclestone will not understand…

He confirmed that when he introduced himself in F1, he believed there would be no chance of carrying out projects similar to the current one. He paid tribute to the owner of Liberty Media, who had previously made filming of the Netflix series possible. Drive To Survive has been the pride of F1 ever since, putting it on the map in the US.

According to Hamilton, the current movie will mark a new level compared to Netflix. He pointed to Bernie Ecclestone who has criticized him several times recently: “I don’t think that would have been possible with the old administration over ten years ago.”

“They may not have seen it as an important step for the growth of the sport, but we’ve already seen the impact of great work and Netflix, and I think we’re going to take it to a new level.”

“There are a lot of people who are passionate about the sport and want to know more and it would be really cool to have Brad on the network alongside characters we already know.”

Isn’t Brad Pitt old?

Hamilton also spoke about Brad Pitt, who grew up with him, perhaps too old to become a Formula One driver. The American superstar is 59, four years older than the oldest ever Formula 1 driver, Louis Chiron, who last started in 1955.

“Looks like Brad just got younger! He looks so good for his age.” – Hamilton was flattered about the actor gaining as much experience as Benjamin Button about the aging of youth…

“Of course, this was a serious topic in the beginning, we discussed it with the first story. But he is very fit, he has trained a lot.”

Because of this, Hamilton isn’t afraid that Pitt will damage the film’s credibility. “Brad is an iconic actor, he’s always done incredible work, so I can’t tell you how excited I am that Brad Pitt is now in Formula 1! This is incredible!”

The Mercedes driver has also revealed whether Pitt has actually driven an F2 car. “We had a day together at a racetrack in L.A., and he was driving there. He’s never raced before, but he definitely has an eye for it. He loves watching MotoGP, has always been a fan of racing and really feels the curves. He throws himself all into it, which is great.” to see it.”

The view is guaranteed

Hamilton also spoke about the expected experience. According to him, you don’t have to worry about the look and quality of the movie. “Our cameras are much better than what you see on TV. You’ve seen the camera angles and the shots, and I spent a lot of time with Joe (director Kuncinski) picking the best possible camera positions, and the resolution is different. It’s going to look fast! Faster than on TV.”

“Joe is an incredible director and I think everyone has seen what he did with the fighter planes, Maverick. Think about what he did there, what we saw with those planes! It was incredible. That technology will be brought in and we’ll see the world from that point of view, which would be cool.” Hamilton promise.
