Malaysia is very popular among foreign students and college students, and not just because of its beautiful landscapes or culture. Many people come to us for an excellent education, and this trend will be strengthened by the cooperation between Sunway University and Nyregyhaze University. Malaysia is a multicultural country, and this is a feature of its neighbors, as is Hungary. I believe that this open cultural environment will facilitate the integration of Hungarian students when they visit us.
Research and joint training
Dr. István Janos, Acting Rector of the University, said that the current cooperation agreement is another step in internationalization.
– There are many opportunities for joint work both in the field of research and education, a process has already begun in the field of English, in the framework of which colleagues will create educational videos.
Sunway ranks high in the international rankings and is very strong in the field of sustainability. Biological sciences, hydrology and water treatment are highly developed in them, and I think that in these areas we can easily find points of contact with the University of Nyíregyháza – emphasized the head of the representation, adding that they are also considering courses in which students spend part of their training time in Malaysia and the other part They spend their time in Nyíregyháza, and the two training places will also be included in their degree.
Dr. said. Stephen Janos.
– Your city, Nyregyhaza, is also a meeting point of cultures, just like Malaysia. We live in critical times, and sustainability must be prioritized, which is our most important task at Sunway University – Professor Stephen Holl, University of Malaysia representative, told attendees.
– It is very important to make students aware of the subject, they should gain a global perspective so that together with the new generation we can do more for our environment. One of the keys to this is sustainable development. The working language of our cooperation will be English, so I encourage students to use this language boldly and expand their knowledge, the professor emphasized.
