Has Twitter become a hate platform? – Social media news IT Café

Australia says Twitter has become the largest platform for hate and demands explanations.

Australia also encounters big tech companies quite often, and this habit has not changed since then for local authorities and government.

The Australian Internet Authority announced: An interpretation stimulate From Twitter regarding dealing with hate online, because Twitter has become the largest platform for hate in the country, since the leadership of Elon Musk, they have received the most complaints about this service, especially since Musk has unblocked 62 thousand accounts.

An authority campaign would also make Twitter more accountable, but they’ve already demanded that the company detail what it’s doing to protect children online, as the situation has worsened since the Musk administration and its string of shootings.

A third of the hate complaints the authority received were related to Twitter, although TikTok, Facebook and Instagram also had more users. According to the accusations, by unblocking previously banned accounts and changing policies, they are not properly addressing hate.

According to the Australian authority, there should be accountability for such platforms and steps to protect users in a transparent manner. If Twitter does not respond to the authority within 28 days, it will be fined approximately $500,000 per day. They are also waiting for details on how to unlock banned accounts, how to communicate with hateful communities, and how to comply with bans and guidelines.
