Here, it’s still in its infancy, and in America, e-car charging has already fallen by the wayside

While the installation of e-car charging stations has only just begun here, the state of aging chargers in the United States is already causing problems. Only Tesla’s dedicated network seems to work reliably. Overseas, a $100 million overhaul of the e-car charging network has begun.

There are approximately 150,000 public charging points available to drivers in the United States. Of these devices, only 34,000 are fast chargers that can be charged within an hour. A study conducted by J.D. Power in August found that

20 percent of shipments fail.

Only Tesla’s network can be used, and the false charging rate is only 4 percent.

Although electric cars represent only 1% of the car fleet in the United States, the development of the charging network cannot keep pace with their spread.
