The new generation of the Peugeot 3008 can already be considered a success story, with more than 50,000 orders received for the car in the months following its launch. The e-3008, which we also tested, represents a quarter of that number, but these are not the extended range versions yet. They will arrive in the first quarter of next year, and it was recently made official that they promise a range of up to 700 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle. In addition, the Long Range model comes with a more powerful transmission, as the engine already available has 210 hp, while the new one will have 230 hp.
The 3008 coupe's big brother, the seven-seater 5008, also based on the STLA Medium platform, also gets a 97 kWh battery, but in this case Peugeot promises “only” 668 kilometers due to the larger battery. Since the drive train is practically the same for both models, the charging speed is also the same. The French brand's products can be charged at a maximum power of 160 kW, to be able to absorb enough energy for a distance of 150 kilometers in 10 minutes, and the battery can be pumped from 20 to 80 percent in 27 minutes.
