Trump's former Republican rival, Nikki Haley, said in her first public statement on Wednesday that she intends to vote for Donald Trump. CNN.
According to Haley, Trump has not been an ideal president in areas important to him, including foreign policy, immigration and the economy, while President Joe Biden has been an absolute disaster. “This is why I will vote for Trump,” Haley said.
Haley, the former US ambassador to the United Nations, was Trump's main opponent for a long time in the struggle for the Republican presidential nomination, but after Super Tuesday on March 5, she announced her withdrawal from the race.
After a speech at the conservative Hudson Institute in Washington, Haley thanked the primary voters who supported her even after she withdrew from the race, and repeated the appeal she made to the former president when she left the race in March: “Look out for those voters, too,” she said.
“Trump would be wise to reach out to the millions of people who voted for me and continue to support me, and not just assume they will join him,” Haley said. “I sincerely hope he does that,” Haley said.
He also criticized fellow Republicans, urging the party to support military aid to Ukraine and Israel. “Sending weapons to Ukraine and Israel is not foreign aid, but an investment in a world where dictators cannot rule free nations,” Haley said.
