The Last of Us and Star Wars star has spoken a bit about the circumstances of filming the Disney+ series.
Pedro Pascal shows his face a total of three times during The Mandalorian episodes: once in the first season and twice in the second, during extended scenes. In Season 3, we never got to see who was actually under the helmet, so questions naturally arose.

At the beginning of The Mandalorian, he was mostly in gear, but as the seasons progressed, he had to wear the rather heavy outfit less and less.
“There were long trials and I spent most of the time in the armor, but my body simply couldn’t take it through those four months. Of course, I was in it. I was in it a lot. So now we’ve figured out the right way, which is great, because that way I can go to others also to do the housework.”
He also revealed that when we hear his voice, it’s mostly dubbing. Of course, that doesn’t mean Pascal never tipped his hat, but either way, we actually see him less and less often on screen.
