The device is focused on virtual and augmented reality.
The DigiTimes HTC has been preparing to launch a new high-end mobile phone in April for years, largely a year, largely for the established mobile business nominally. The information was shared by Charles Huang, the company’s head of Asia Pacific markets, with the publication’s reporter at World Mobile Congress.
So far, there’s little specifics about the device, the CEO has only revealed that it’s focused on virtual and augmented reality, and has deep integration with the company’s open source meta release platform called Viveverse.
HTC recently launched a high-end smartphone in the shape of the classic U12+ 2018, then sold its smartphone business to Google, and its former Pixels employees have since. In the past few years, it has only launched entry-level and mid-range phones, and has limited its official presence to a few markets.
