If all goes well, the Huawei Mate 60 series will be presented sometime in the fall, which according to preliminary information will consist of at least two devices. So far, you can hear about them, but this is the first time we can admire the Mate 60 in real photos.
Recently released images show the Huawei Mate 60 with a two-tone back. The upper part could be made of some kind of frosted glass, and the lower part seems to be cast from metal. The large circular camera island that appeared earlier is also clearly visible, with three slots for image recording units.
Based on what we’ve heard so far, the Mate 60 will be equipped with a 1220p+ resolution, 120Hz OLED display. One of the interesting features of the panel will be the small capsule-shaped hole that will house a dual selfie camera and a 3D ToF sensor.
The smartphone will offer software functionality quite similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island, which debuted with the fourth version of Harmony OS, and the new feature will be called Live Window.
Huawei is said to be working on its own 5G chipset with the help of SMIC, and the first smartphones to include it could be members of the Mate 60 series.
