If anyone has missed it, the Huawei P50 Pocket is nothing more than a bendable device with a popular flip design. The smartphone has been featured several times in news, leaked photos, renders, and recently the Chinese manufacturer confirmed its arrival. But we don’t know exactly anything about its properties. So far, the most important specifications of the device have been revealed, which debuted on December 23.
Huawei clearly wants to outdo the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, with a larger internal screen, a larger battery, faster charging, and even more photo-capture units.
For such a device, the most important component is obviously the screen, in this case a 6.85-inch diagonal solution, while a 1-inch circular screen is placed on the outside of the phone. Below the external display is another module with a circular layout that includes the three cameras of the smartphone. The primary sensor is a 50MP Sony IMX766, backed by a 13MP wide-angle telephoto module and an 8MP telephoto module with 3x zoom.
Under the hood of the Huawei P50 Pocket, the calculations are made by the Kirin 9000 chipset, it is important to note that the chipset used here is compatible with LTE networks. The smartphone’s hardware components are powered by a 4100 mAh battery, and the battery supports 66W fast charging. That’s more serious than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3’s only 15W fast charging. We’re only a few days away from introducing the device, so presumably other as-yet-unknown features will drop soon.
