Huge change in the Galaxy S25: The manufacturer has already…

The arrival of the Galaxy S25 series brings new excitement to the world of technology.

It was recently announced that Qualcomm may be the sole chipset supplier for the Galaxy S25 series next year. This means that all three Galaxy S25 models globally will receive the next-gen chipset, which is said to be called Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. There will not be any variants with the rumored Exynos 2500 chipset. This prospect has already excited many fans, with some not happy with Samsung's decision to bring back Exynos with this year's Galaxy S24 series, as the switch to Snapdragon exclusively with last year's Galaxy S23 series yielded great results. However, it seems that Samsung is doing everything it can to ensure that some versions of the 2025 flagship will use the Exynos 2500 processor.

Huge change in the Galaxy S25: The manufacturer has already made an announcement!

According to a South Korean report, all Snapdragon processors in the Galaxy S25 series could be taken into consideration as the Exynos 2500's throughput is very low. Returns were previously in the single-digit range, which was not ideal. However, Samsung reportedly managed to improve the process, which helped increase the yield to 20%. Although this is a significant improvement, it is still not enough. The report adds that the yield must be no less than 60% in order for the chip to be produced in large quantities. Samsung is supposed to realistically achieve this by the third quarter of this year so that the chips can be included in the Galaxy S25 devices that will be released in the first quarter of 2025. Whether that will happen or not, we do not know yet.

Details about the Exynos 2500 are limited at the moment. Some rumors claim that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 could match or even exceed the performance efficiency of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 thanks to the chipset manufactured using Samsung's second-generation 3nm process. However, low yields still entail the risk that mass production is not possible if the minimum yield is not reached in time.
