In Kaos, planned for eight parts, we get a contemporary adaptation of Greek mythology.
Anyone who started pursuing Hugh Grant’s career in the ’90s probably never thought the actor would skip roles for the heart. But Grant has recently been quietly working on his own revamp – for example, he played a corrupt detective in The Gentlemen, and next time he might star in another hitherto unknown role, portraying the main character of Greek mythology, Zeus, in the Netflix series Kaos.
The eight-part limited series brings the characters of Greek mythology to the present day – well-known deities live their daily lives in the skin of ordinary people, but one day Grant’s Zeusza discovers a wrinkle on his forehead, causing him to begin a slippery slope of paranoia about his fall.
In addition to Grant, Janet McTeer (Ozark), Cliff Curtis (Fear of the Walking Dead), David Thewlis, Killian Scott, Messiah Butler, Lily Farzad, Nabhan Radwan, Raki Ayola, Stanley Townsend and Aurora Perino. Based on the already huge cast, one could suspect that Kaos would bring out the colors of the Greek gods. The series was written and created by Charlie Covel and directed by Georgie Banks Davis. Jane Featherstone and Chris Fry, who helped with Chernobyl, are also among the producers.
