In the natural weight class, Bendigoz Peterfari-Molnar in the doubles, Bella Simon and Adrian Johasz in the doubles without Cox, while Zulte Beto could claim a share at next year’s Paris Games in the PR1 category for rowers with special needs.
“In terms of Olympic numbers, these two boat units are the highest in Hungary. Bendigosz will be the player with the most participation in the starting line-up, but he is also in the best physical condition. They hand out nine stakes in the first round, and he is also in the top twenty who can get right start at any time.” – National team captain Attila Llorenc told MTI, then added: Luck and tactics will play a big role in getting the quotas, as a lot will depend on the draw and the routine competition.
According to the sporting director, the pair of Simon Johasz are in better shape than last year, and if they can get close to the time they achieved in the national championships in July (6:19.14 minutes), they could have a chance for one of the 11 places in Paris.
In non-five-ring events, two-time European Champion Peter Galambos in the lightweight doubles, as well as Continental Champion, WC-2 last year. Kalman Forko and Bence Szabo will travel to the Serbian capital as contenders for the medal in the lightweight doubles.
