Hungarian second place in the U-16 competition in Nagyzombat

On Saturday, the Slovak Nagyzombat team hosted an under-16 athlete selection competition, where the Slovak, Czech, Croatian and Slovenian hosts compared their skills as well as the Hungarian youngsters.

The Hungarian Promises team took second place in the individual competitions for boys and girls, as well as in the combined table.

In addition, the girls only missed out on the top rung of the podium with fewer top finishes.

He won his competition in numerous individual and best of the year competitions Horvath Buttond (100 m), Dorina Pfisterer (100 m) 4×100 m relay, female (Greta Szocki, Lili Ennedi, Lisa Mimi Nemeth, Dorina Pfisterer), 4 x 100 m relay, juniors (Botond Horvat, Peter Zsombor Szabados, Roland Kiss, Christian Kalix), Zofia Fajo (javelin throw) and tied Ivan Varga (Pole vault).

He added, “The weather was not kind to the competitors, as there were strong winds, rain fell, and the air became cold, but our youth performed well.” A representative of the show for the Hungarian Athletics Federation says, Tamas Schererwho was present at the event as team leader. – Overall, we had a very exciting and successful match. We are particularly happy with our six victories, four of which, it must be emphasized, were in sprint races. It was a great experience to be able to win the 4×100 relay, and our 4×300 mixed quad also just missed out on first place behind the Czechs. There were several first-year U16 competitors born in 2009 in the team, and their performances were encouraging. And last but not least, it was as if the competition took place at home, because not only were the competitors cheering for each other, but their parents were also rooting for themselves. And of course, thanks also to the work of the coaches and trainers.”
