“Hungary is the safest place for the Jewish community, compared to several Western countries” – Center for Fundamental Rights organizes pro-Israel conference
Hungary stands with Israel in this exceptional situation – said Péter Štaray, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, at the pro-Israel conference organized by the Center for Fundamental Rights, when asked by PestiSrácok.hu. In response to the events that took place over the weekend, the Foreign Minister said that Hungary’s primary interest is to achieve peace in the Middle East. He stressed: Hungary, including Budapest, is the safest place for the Jewish community, compared to several Western countries or the United States. At the conference, Peter Tursi, Executive Director of the Center for Fundamental Rights, gave an interview to our portal, and talked about the so-called Abraham Accords that were reached during the Trump administration. According to him, there could not have been peace in the Middle East until the end of this week without these agreements. The director also stressed that Israel is a serious ally of Hungary in the fight against illegal immigration.
