The Hyundai Inster was introduced a few days ago in South Korea, at the Busan International Motor Show, and as they say, the bold new design of the A-segment urban SUV meets a spacious interior, top-notch technology and a best-in-class range of up to 355 kilometers. The standard version of the small car has 97 horsepower, while the long-range version has 115 horsepower. The car can be charged from a DC fast charger, i.e. from 10 percent to 80 percent in half an hour, but it is also suitable for two-way charging, meaning that any consumer, e-scooter, e-bike or electric camping equipment can also be “refueled”.
Compared to its small size, the Inster offers a spacious seating area. The space in front of the front seats can be traversed across all seats, so the driver's seat can be folded flat, and the luggage compartment is 280 liters, with the sliding rear seats up to 351 liters, and as an option, the front bench seat can be continuous. The Inster's comprehensive driving support system includes, among other things, a 360-degree parking camera, an assistant that avoids collisions during reversing maneuvers, monitors blind spots and prevents rear-end accidents. The (European) prices of the South Korean mini are not yet known, but it is worth noting that amid the influx of Chinese exports, there is a lot of competition all over the world: who can come up with a cheap small electric car for under HUF 10 million? ASAP. Fiat recently launched the e-Panda, Renault the e-Twingo, while Volkswagen has promised the small ID-1.
